What the acquirer of the patent obtains
The core of the system is covered by the claims of the international application. Around this core, the description of the WO and the inventor's suggestions bring a body of solutions, materials and applications that comes with the patent.
In the slides, each item carries a label indicating its level of protection:
Claimed · claim X Described in the WO Inventor's suggestion
1 · The protected core
What is covered by the claims of the WO: this is the exclusive right that is acquired.
| Claim | What it protects | Where to see it |
|---|---|---|
| Claim 1 | The frame of intersecting beams with shared node elements; staggered joints with splice plate yg; internal grid of perforated plates crossing at the nodes. | The principle · The node · Splice plate |
| Claims 2–4 | Optimised purlins, transverse, diagonal and special plates, perforated brackets with notches for guided placement. | Perforated bracket · Tailor-made plates · Guided placement |
| Claim 5 | Elements bonded, tested, marked and certified in the factory. | Continuous reinforcement · Certified components |
| Claim 6 | All internal grids and all shells connected to one another: an interconnected, highly statically indeterminate structure. | Redundancy · Purlins on site |
| Claim 7 | Pre-marked cavities for routing building services through beams and columns. | Advantages · Building services |
Plain-language summary. The authoritative text is that of the claims of international application WO 2026/190848 (patent position).
2 · Described in the WO
Solutions disclosed in the description of the application: they are part of the technical package that is acquired.
| Demountable and repairable | Layers not bonded to each other and joined by bolts: the structure can be dismantled, reassembled, extended and repaired by replacing modules. | Advantages |
| Seismic behaviour | Energy dissipation by friction between unbonded layers. | Advantages |
| Reinforcement as a family | Plates, splice plates, brackets and bolts sized in the design and certified in the factory; open choice of materials for the reinforcement too. | Family of components |
| Concealed anchorages | Deep recesses for nuts and bolts, closed with components made of the same material as the shell. | Invisible anchorages |
| Materials | CNC-machined timber and engineered panels, fibre-reinforced composites, local raw materials. | Materials |
| Circularity | Demountable, reusable buildings; production close to the site with local materials. | Climate and circularity |
3 · Inventor's suggestions
Developments and applications proposed by the inventor: added value and starting points for the acquirer's research and development.
| New materials | 3D-printed fibre cement and cementitious materials; raw earth with basalt microfibres. | Materials |
| Design | Pre-cambering of horizontal beams at design stage; one floor more or less, even over time. | Advantages · Standardisation |
| Services in the floors | Extending the routing of building services to the floors. | Building services |
| Applications | Markets beyond construction, for example shipbuilding. | Applications |
| Derived IP | Software, specifications, training and trade marks that can grow around the patent. | IP ecosystem |

The title assigned
The subject of the assignment is international application WO 2026/190848 alone: with it, the acquirer obtains the right to extend protection to the countries of its choice, with national phase entry by September–October 2027. The Italian patents of 2016 and 2018 document the development path and are not part of the assignment.
